Signal Hill returned to the Compound to track a second batch of songs for an upcoming EP. We made our way through the foundation for 6 tunes. I would love to list the titles, but with Signal Hill there are always multiple names for each song depending on which stage of development the song is in. Working titles, generic titles, inside joke titles, alternate joke titles, nicknames, etc. SH took advantage of having Rishi back from Scotland to sneak in a few days of tracking. That’s right, the full band had only played together once since they last visited the Compound. Rishi’s move to Scotland forced the band share song ideas via email. This method led to new, more focused songwriting. Unlike past endeavors this new batch of songs contain no guitar noodling. Quite a feat for any instrumental band!
