Jonny Burke and band come us from Austin, TX seeking the production skills of Captain Guitar, Marc Ford. Somehow we tracked in 13 songs in 5 days??? Did we think we’re making a punk record? That’s what working up good arrangements with a solid band playing live in a room will get you. An economically & time efficient record. Speaking of efficient, Ford brought a few new toys that brought the rock: a Jaguar Junior guitar amp, a Deusenberg guitar, BMF’s El Jefe overdrive pedal, and a Recording King Raj-16 acoustic guitar. These were used liberally throughout the record along with a few standard pieces of gear for a wide tone palette. This record will assuredly be a great listen. Mixes to be completed next week.
